Want What You Have
Hello Bright Bod!
In our consumerist world, happiness is constantly sold to us, with the idea that if we can aquire something, buying items, new clothes, or eating or drinking, then we will be happier than what we were.
However, deep down, we all know happiness is not something that can be bought or sold. It is a frame of mind. Being grateful with what you have in the present moment, or to simply want what you have, can be all you need. Think about how often you yearn for something you do not have, experience anxiety over things are not going your way, crave foods that you know your body really does not need.
In light of Plastic Free July, now is the perfect time to start practising wanting what you have. Tread lightly on our Earth, living with less, less plastic, less food waste, but better nutrition and happiness.
We would love to hear your experience with this, please share your insights on our Bright Bods Facebook group and keep us all inspired!
What's New
NDIS Participants and Allied Health Workers Need Your Support
On 1st July, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) intends to either cut or maintain the 6 year freeze on price limits for many allied health services, support coordination, and other essential NDIS providers, while also introducing significant limits on travel funding.
These changes have been determined without meaningful consultation with the allied health sector and participants who rely on their support for their function, independence and dignity.
These changes, coupled with rising operating costs, will make it financially unsustainable for many allied health NDIS service providers to continue delivering the complex, high-quality care and support participants living with disability rely on.
You can learn more here and sign the petitions; Stop The NDIS Cuts and Call for Better Access to Nutrition. Thank you for your support!

Put the oven on to warm up and get the kids involved to help them explore and learn to eat a wider range of veggies!
Ingredients
Pizza Base:

- 3 Tb sugar
- 1 Tb dried yeast granules
- 1 Tb oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup white flour
- 1 cup wholmeal flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
Pizza toppings:
- Toppings of your choice: onion, leek, mushroom, capsicum, tomato, zucchini, pre-cooked or roasted eggplant and pumpkin, corn, olives, baby spinach leaves, basil leaves, pineapple
- optional: deli meat like ham, salami or other meat if desired- we used wild boar salami
- tomato sauce or paste
- herbs of choice like oregano, thyme, parsley or even chilli flakes - optional
- 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Method
- Put the oven to heat up to to 200 degrees Celcius
- In a large bowl dissolve the sugar in the water
- Stir in the yeast granules and oil.
- Leave to stand in a warm place until mixture looks frothy.
- Stir in all the other ingredients until the dough comes away from the sides of the bowl.
- Flatten the dough and leave to stand for 5-15 minutes.
- Chop up the desired pizza toppings
- Spread tomato sauce onto pizza base
- Add your pizza toppings
- If you like to pile on the veg like me, place the pizza in the oven to cook the veggies for 10 minutes before adding the cheese.
- Top with cheese, then place the pizza in the oven for 30 minutes or until the cheese has melted and is golden brown.
- If you don't have enough veggies, serve with a glorious garden salad
