Hibernating
Hello Bright Bod!
Keeping up those healthy eating habits and fitness levels is something we all keep striving for.
However, this time of year, around the winter solstice, getting more in tune with our natural instincts and rest like most of the other living creatures can do us the world of good.
Focussing on getting more sleep, putting in place sleep routines, practising relaxation like deep breathing exercises, meditation or yoga or even implementing screen free boundaries can just as important to your health, so when it is time for spring, you can feel re-energised.
As the days start getting lighter, gradually build back your focus on changing your eating habits or increasing your fitness levels towards your goals.
We would love to hear how you are embracing the winter months by looking after you. Share your experience on our Bright Bods Facebook group and keep us all inspired!

Fee Update
As of 1st July our fees are increasing and the Medicare rebate is increasing to $60.35.
Our fees are $185 for 90 minute session, $135 for 1 hour session and $80 for 30 minute session.
Most health insurers do provide rebates for Dietitian consults depending on your cover so it is wise to check.
If you have a Chronic Disease Management Plan or Team Care Arrangement Plan from your GP (aka EPC) you can get 5 sessions subsidised sessions each year from Medicare for allied health professionals. If you do not use all your sessions for the allocated professionals these sessions will carry over to the following year. However, you are only allowed to claim for 5 sessions in total within in a calendar year.
If you have an EPC and are a pensioner or health care card holder or are in financial hardship and can not afford your appointment fees please let your Dietitian know and we will see what we can do to help as best we can.
