Happy New Year!
With the New Year, it gives us all a chance to reflect on what has been and plan for what will be.
If you have heard that old saying if you fail to plan you plan to fail. So take some time to sit down and make a really good plan of what you want to achieve. Think about the big goal and break it into lots of small steps- the what, when, how, how much, how often and then why it is important to you.
List down all those barriers and formulate your strategies to overcome them.
We would love to hear your plans for the New Year, what are your sure fired strategies to overcome some no so healthy habits? Please share your tips on our Facebook group Bright Bods!
What's New
New Clinic Rooms Take 2
We have had another change in the clinic rooms. From February we will be running our Woy Woy clinic on Wednesday mornings and afternoons at Physio4You, upstairs and still in The Clocktower building in their new, bigger and upgraded rooms.
Kylie will be seeing the majority of clients here and Carin will see a few in the afternoon as she will be providing more home visits and video calls to her NDIS participants.
It will be great to be able to work more closely with our Physio colleagues and to have another space to run some small group nutrition workshops. We are excited to start working with Physio4You!
Which Dietitian is Where Now?
Our books are getting busier (January is almost booked out!) so please call your Dietitian or book online so you do not miss out.
Here are the days and Dietitians at our clinics:
- Wednesdays- Physio4You, Woy Woy Kylie (morning and afternoon) and Carin (afternoons every 2nd week
- Thursdays - Havilah Family Practice( aka 5 Ways Family Practise), Wyoming Christina in Jan/Feb, then Kylie after then, Carin - afternoons every 2nd Thursday
Fridays - Wyong Village Medical Centre, Christina
Phone, video or home visit consultations are also available so please call to discuss with your dietitians if you would like these consultation options which can be offered outside of our regular clinic times.

Dietitian Consult Rebates
Can you get Medicare or Private Health Insurance Rebates?
Most health insurers do provide rebates for Dietitian sessions depending on your cover so it is wise to check.
If you have a Chronic Disease Management Plan or Team Care Arrangement Plan from your GP (aka EPC) you get 5 sessions subsidised each year from Medicare for allied health professionals. If you do not use all your sessions for the allocated professionals these sessions will carry over to the following year. However, you are only allowed to claim for 5 sessions in a calendar year in total.
Due to the effects of COVID lockdown, we have been kindly bulk billing our half-hour review appointments. However, now we are again charging a gap fee for half-hour review appointments, approximately $10. If you are in financial hardship and can not afford your appointment fees please let your Dietitian know and we will see what we can do to help as best we can.
