New Habits
Have you started a new routine or habit this year?
Did you know that it can take up to 9 months for a lifestyle habit to become a normal part of everyday life? You may want to plan your meals better, avoid over-eating when socialising, walk, run, swim or cycle one more time a week, however until it becomes a habit it is easy to slip up.
There are a few things that you can do to help new habits stick - schedule them into your diary, starting new habits when coming back from holiday/starting school/work, combining them with another habit already happening in your week.
Sometimes a trigger can also help. When I get up in the morning I open the blinds and do some shoulder and arm circles on my way to each blind. My shoulder/arm circles are my trigger to get me to continue doing the rest of my body warm-up.
We would love you to share the habits you have started and how you have made them stick. Go on inspire us all in our Facebook group Bright Bods!

If you are a pensioner or health care cardholder or are in financial hardship and can not afford your appointment fees please let your Dietitian know and we will see what we can do to help as best we can.
